I have had the witches section of this blog done and sitting in Word for weeks. Unfortunately I have been studying for an important promotion exam so I haven't had time to dig out all the pieces for photos. The exam will be done with in a few weeks so hopefully there will be another post up by the end of March. Just wanted to post an update so it doesn't look like that I have forgotten about my little project :)
Have updated the first City Watch section. I am now the proud owner of a Lady Ramkin so I have posted a picture.
Hello! I stumbled accross your blog after trying to get some information regarding a Discworld wall plaque I have that I cant seem to find anywhere else on t'internet. I haven't seen it in any of your other posts, so I'm wondering where it came from lol (I cant remember as it was a present) The plaque is titled "Scenes of old Ankh Morpork" and has an an inscription reading "Dedicated to Terry Pratchett on his 50th Birthday - Thank you for Discworld" here's a photo: http://www.flickr.com/photos/66387674@N03/6941183804/
ReplyDeletehope you can help!

Hiya
DeleteI've had a look at your picture, the plaque is really lovely and it's not something I've seen before. I would like to see a picture of the back if possible. Just from looking at the front it does look very much like a Bernard Pearson piece and it would be worth contacting him via the Discworld Emporium to see if it was his and find out more about it. I personally haven't seen one on ebay or anything and some of Bernards pieces are extremely limited editions (I have examples of his works where only single figures were made). This can make it quite hard to find information about them except from the horses mouth. Hope this helps and if there's anything else I can help with just let me know!

I used to run the discworld price guide, would you like a copy of my old website?
ReplyDeleteThat would be really useful. I remember your guide fondly, i used to spend hours poring over it. I even sent you some pictures of my own collection when it was still all on display! It was the fact that your guide had gone that spurred me on to start my blog as your guide had been so useful when i started collecting.
ReplyDeleteI want to carry on adding to my blog but ive been unable to get figurines out from storage lately.
I am burning a copy to cd for another collecter, who told me about your site.
ReplyDeletean extra copy is no bother will burn two at the weekend

ReplyDeleteThank you for the sight, as for me I am just a total convert to the Disk World and all it contains. I am or perhaps was a science fiction reader, then I found Pern I have read fantasy ever since and TP is my read and reread. I only have 2 figures Lugage and Death in the Kitchen but will collect more in time.
ReplyDeleteIan.
Thats great. I started this blog in the hope that new collectors would find it. I have never really read any other science fiction or fantasy. Im probably missing out though. I hope that this blog helps you in your collecting
